Pirelli unveil 2018 FIA World Rallycross car design
The Pirellis’ first car was designed in collaboration with the FIA World RX Championship team and will be powered by a Porsche 911 Turbo S. The FIA WRC is the most prestigious rallycross championship in the world, featuring drivers who have won the World RX championship twice and have previously raced for BMW and Ferrari.
The new car is expected to be revealed during the FIA WCC 2018 season, which begins on Friday.
“The car is a very good example of what we want to do with the new Porsche 911,” said Pirello’s chief design officer, Jeroen Pronkers.
“We are looking forward to working closely with them.” “
The P4 GTE was introduced in 2018 as part of a deal with Pirella to become the brand’s official GTE-spec rallycross vehicle. “

The car was then introduced in 2019 with the introduction of the P4 R, but the R has since been discontinued.
“A car that is ready to race is very important,” Pronker added.
“That is why we had to build a car that we feel we are able to race.”
