
‘Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles’ star Casey Affleck dies at 92
Casey Affelles death has sparked a wave of mourning among the movie industry, with many expressing sadness and sadness for the actor who had been known for his comedic talent and love of pop culture.
Affleck, who died on Wednesday at age 92, died at his home in Los Angeles, according to a family spokesperson.
The Los Angeles Times first reported the news of Affleck’s death.
Affell had been battling cancer for the past few years, according the spokesperson.
He also had a daughter, Jessica, who was born in 2015.
Afflles character, Shredder, is played by a young Michael Keaton, and the film also stars James Franco, Kevin Hart, Matt Damon, John Goodman, James Franco and Seth Rogen.
Afflixe was a fixture on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, and was honored for his work on the 1984 comedy classic “Dumb and Dumber.”
The actor also starred in “The Fugitive,” “The Longest Yard,” “Barry Lyndon” and “A Christmas Carol,” according to his IMDb page.
Affilles most recent film role was in the 2011 comedy film “Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy.”
He also appeared in the 2008 film “The Little Mermaid” and starred in the 2014 comedy film, “Gremlins.”
Affleck was a founding member of the Screen Actors Guild, a union representing movie stars and actresses.
In addition to being the founder of the union, Affleck also served as the president of the American Society of Cinematographers, and as a founding executive of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences.
Afferck was a longtime advocate for women in Hollywood and had recently said he was a big fan of “Saturday Night Live.”
He was married to actress Anne Bancroft from 1963 to 1973.
Affilas family released a statement saying he was “one of the great, great, greatest and most beloved actors of our time.”
It also said he died surrounded by his wife, Anne B, their daughters Jessica and Amanda and three grandchildren.
Affilias family will be hosting a memorial service for the “Teenage Ninja Turtles” star at a private memorial service in Los Altos Hills, California on Friday.
“We are incredibly saddened by the passing of Casey Afflleck,” the statement read.
“His life and work have inspired countless others and his life will forever be remembered with the memories of his beloved wife, wife and daughters.”
