‘We’re going to have to go back to square one’: Man arrested after allegedly killing ex-girlfriend’s child
A Florida man has been arrested after reportedly killing his ex-fiancee’s child, police said.
John Anthony DeLuca, 26, was arrested Tuesday after the alleged incident happened at his home in the Orlando suburb of Boca Raton, Florida.
Police said the incident took place after DeLucas allegedly assaulted his ex in their home last month.
Police identified the woman who was killed as Katelyn P. Pappas.
According to police, DeLuces allegedly took his girlfriend’s child and then attempted to take the child to another location.
Authorities said DeLucis later told police he had a gun in his possession, but did not specify whether the gun was loaded or not.
Police say DeLucs was taken to the Polk County Jail on charges of murder, aggravated assault and tampering with evidence.
The Alabama football team and the rest of the SEC will take on Clemson in the national championship game of the College Football Playoff on February 2 at 1 p.m.

While no date has been set for the title game, the SEC’s playoff committee is set to release a new format later this month, and the next game to play in the playoffs will be the title matchup between Alabama and Clemson.
The SEC has not announced a date for the next championship game, which will be played on the last day of the regular season and will be broadcast by CBS Sports Network.
It is expected to be played in the SEC Network’s “home” market of Birmingham, Alabama, and will not be televised nationally.
The 2017 College Football Playoffs will be televised on CBS Sports.
The 2016 season featured the national title game on ABC, with the national semifinal between Alabama (ranked No. 3) and Clemson (ranked Nos.

The title game of this year’s College Football Championship Game will be on March 1, CBSSports.com will announce the date for CBS Sports’s College GameDay Live, CBSSN.com and CBSSportsRadio.com on Thursday, February 4.
In 2017, the College Championships were played on March 8 at the Alabama-Florida State College Football Stadium.

Here are the latest developments:The Trump administration announced that the VA has opened a criminal investigation into allegations of misconduct at the Phoenix VA health care facility.
The investigation is separate from the one being conducted by the Office of Inspector General, which is conducting its own investigation into VA management.
The VA said it was conducting a criminal probe of VA Secretary David Shulkin and four other executives for allegations of retaliation and retaliation against whistleblowers.
The VA has not identified the individual who was fired but said in a statement that the investigation was ongoing.
The Justice Department has also opened a civil rights investigation into whether the VA retaliated against a whistleblower who filed a complaint against Shulkins in February.
Shulkins has denied any wrongdoing, saying he is cooperating with the investigation.
The investigation into the Phoenix health care scandal has focused on the firing of a whistleblower and his investigation into retaliation against his former boss.
